Rip and convert your music with iTunes
First, you have to download the iTunes software from http://www.apple.com/itunes/
Once you have downloaded and installed iTunes, open the iTunes program.
| Select “Edit”/”Preferences” (PC) or “iTunes”/”Preferences” (Mac) from the Menu Bar | |
| Click on “Import Settings…” | |
| then choose to import your music in wav format (CD quality): |

| or in 320 kbps mp3, 44100Hz (for optimum mp3 quality and frequency to play your music on all flash players). | |
Then click OK.
If you have not yet imported songs into iTunes, or if your album/songs are not on your computer,
Place your CD into your computer. Once iTunes detects your CD, the software will automatically ask if you want to import the CD. Click “Yes”
If the software does not ask you to import the CD, you can do this manually by clicking on your album that should appear in “Devices” section.
You can edit information about your tracks by clicking on the name in the playlist.
To import your music, you will only have to click on the button “Import CD”, on the lower left corner of iTunes software window.
If you want to convert files that are already on your computer
Select one or more songs in your library, then from the Advanced menu, choose the following options (the menu item changes to show what’s selected in your preferences to import):
- Create MP3 version
- Create AAC version
- Create AIFF version
- Create WAV version
- Create Apple Lossless version
